Visitor & Volunteer Workshops at Kingsbridge Cookworthy Museum

Since the last post we have had two more drop in visitor workshops at the museum in early August:

We had another 46 visitors all having a go at making a cup with Taja’s expert supervision and support.

We also hosted a session for volunteers on Sunday 6th August. Volunteers contribute so much to the museum, it was lovely to be able to give something back.

18 of our volunteers came to the volunteer only session, as well about 6 volunteers who couldn’t make the volunteer session, came along to one of the other drop in sessions. It was a really fun day as we all tried to do something, new and different and created mugs with everything from sailing boats to clocks, elephants to fish and everything in between.

We are all very excited to see what our cups look like when they have been fired and glazed by Taja.

All the cups made from the drop in sessions, will be on display as part of the Devon Artist Network Open studios from 9th- 24th September. More details, can be found on the events page. Most of the cups will then stay on display at the museum until the end of the season (end of October) before some of the cups and Taja’s work goes to Taunton for the final group display of all Muse project work in November.
