The Story of King Edmund – Andrea Oke

I think it is time to do the big reveal! Here is one of the artworks which will be showing in the exhibition. If you look closely you will see there is a QR code in the middle of the work that, once scanned, will let you listen to a recording of the original story that inspired the illustration.  There are also QR codes througout the exhibiton which will let you see how the inks, quills and other resources were made and even allow you to listen to one of the films I made about memory.

Of course you don’t have to use the QR code, there is more than enough to see without using the technology. But, if you do want to have a bit of fun bring along your smartphone with a QR code scanner set up (You can download one for free from the App Store or Google Play). I have temporarily put WI-FI into King John’s Hunting Lodge to make things even easier.

If you want to bring children along there is also a game that they can play which involves artefacts from the Museum hidden in the artworks. There are copies available at the Museum or you can download your copy by clicking on the links below:

The Museum is kindly offering entry by donation throughout Arts Week. The dates that I will be there are listed on Axbridge Museum’s events page,

For those of you who sadly cannot make the exhibition here is a film, which I hope explains the project in full for you. I will post some images of the exhibition over the next week. Thank you for following the project, I look forward to seeing you over the next couple of weeks.
